Lone Oak is serious about passing on the faith to the next generation.
Roots Meaning: The large oak tree needs a strong root system to withstand powerful storms and long droughts; youth of today need to be rooted strongly in their faith to grow into the mature Christian adults that God is calling them to be.
The Roots Youth Ministry Vision was born from this idea that youth need to be rooted in their faith to build their lives, just like the mighty oak.

Sunday School:
At Lone Oak Christian Church it is an important part for everyone to be apart of a Sunday School class. Each Sunday morning at 10:00 am, grades 7-13 meet in our own Youth Building, which is located directly behind the main building as a safe place for youth to meet and grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. Each lesson is based on teachings from the scriptures. Wednesday Nights: Wednesday nights Roots Youth building. We usually play some games to get loosened up, hangout then begin our lesson! Wednesdays are a time of fellowship, worship, and study, we use a variety of formats to promote creativity and community. Summer: Throughout the summer we publish a calendar that contains a variety of activities (hiking, swimming, cookouts, etc.) and everyone comes out to have a great time of fellowship. |
