"Christian MISSIONARY Fellowship"

Craig & Allison Fowler
Ethiopia

Picture
Craig and Allison live in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and serve on the church planting team.

Craig is the team leader for the church planting team. He also trains evangelists and oversees planting churches in new outreach areas. The Fowlers are responsible for running a clean water well project that involves drilling wells in areas where there is little or no access to clean water. Allison produces clean water and health education materials to be taught in those communities.

Craig and Allison joined CMF’s church planting team in Ethiopia in 2005. For 10 years, they worked among the rural Gumuz people, planting churches and managing a small health clinic. They have three children: Zane (2000), Ezra (2003) and Anna (2006).

Adam & Allison Giles
Ethiopia

Picture
Adam and Allison are members of the CMF Ethiopia church planting team. Both have been drawn to missions throughout their lives. Adam is the son of a second-generation missionary, and Allison spent time teaching in India. Previously they were unsure of how their skills could be used on the mission field, until an opportunity came to serve the church catalyst team in Ethiopia.

Adam, who is a mechanical engineer, provides mechanical support when problems are rampant and resources are few. He is also in charge of clean water projects, which allows the team to move into new areas. Allison is in charge of hospitality at the compound. This role allows her to minister to team members, summer interns, and local Ethiopian staff. She also ministers to local Ethiopians through ESL classes and a weekly ladies' Bible study.

Adam and Allison are the parents of two daughters: Adeline (2015) and Cecelia (2017).

Lynn Pottenger
Kenya

Picture
Lynn teaches English as a Second Language to Turkana church leaders in Kenya, producing materials for them to use in their Bible studies. She also participates in and teaches courses at the Turkana Bible Training Institute, a two-year certificate program for church leaders.

Lynn began her mission work in Africa in 1996, specializing in literacy among the nomadic Turkana people of northwest Kenya. A lack of education indicated that literacy was crucial in establishing a strong, indigenous church. Turkana teachers are now responsible for the literacy program, and Lynn serves as their consultant.
